Why Use No-Go Zones & Forbidden Walls?
Digital boundaries give you full control over where your robot vacuum cleans without needing physical tape or magnetic strips on your floors.
-
No-Go Zones (Box Boundaries): Ideal for blocking off square or rectangular areas like pet feeding stations, kids' play corners, or loose cable setups.
-
Forbidden Walls (Line Boundaries): Perfect for blocking off open doorways, balcony thresholds, or long room dividers with a single straight line.
Step-by-Step Setup Tutorial
Before you begin, make sure your MONSGA MR7 Pro has completed its initial home mapping run so your full floor plan appears in the app.
Step 1: Open Your Map
Launch the MONSGA app on your smartphone and select your MR7 Pro device to view your saved home map.

Step 2: Tap "Map Management"
On the main map interface, look for the Map Management icon on the right side of the screen and tap it to open map customization tools.

Step 3: Select "Forbidden Zone"
(Note: Step 3 leads directly into choosing your boundary type in the app settings).

Step 4: Choose Between Zone or Forbidden Wall
At the top of the screen, you will see two boundary options: Zone or Forbidden Wall. Decide which barrier type best fits the area you want to block.

Step 5: Draw Your No-Go Zone
If you selected Zone, tap the + icon on your map to create a rectangular box. Drag the corners to adjust the size and position it over areas you want the robot to avoid.

Step 6: Place Your Forbidden Wall
If you selected Forbidden Wall, tap the + icon to place a virtual red boundary line. Drag and rotate the line across any doorway, hallway, or open threshold you want off-limits.

Step 7: Save Your Settings
Once all your boundaries are placed, tap the Save button at the bottom of the screen to send your updated map straight to your MR7 Pro.
Quick Tips for Perfect Map Boundaries
-
Leave Room for Passage: Make sure your virtual wall leaves enough clearance for the robot to move through adjacent corridors.
-
Check Floor Obstacles: Place no-go zones over high-pile rug tassels or areas with dangling electrical cords.
-
Edit Anytime: You can return to the Map Management screen at any time to delete, move, or add new zones as your home layout changes.
